Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Everyone from my nation will enter Paradise but those who refuse.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who will refuse?” The Prophet said, “Whoever obeys me enters Paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كُلُّ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَبَى قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يَأْبَى قَالَ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ أَبَى

Paradise is the tremendous reward which Allah (swt) has prepared for His beloved (awliyaa) and those who obey Him. It is complete joy and pleasure, where nothing is lacking and nothing can disturb its purity. What Allah (swt) and His Messenger have told us about it makes out heads spin because our minds are not able to comprehend the greatness of such blessings.

Listen to the words of Allah (swt) in this hadith qudsi: "I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and has never crossed the mind of any human being".

The joys of Paradise are far greater than the pleasures of this world, which pale into insignificance in comparison. Bukhaari reports from Sahl ibn Sa'd as-Sa'idee that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "A space the size of a whip in Paradise is better than this world and al that is in it".

Because admittance to Paradise and salvation from the Fire are according to Allah's will and judgement, it is a great victory and tremendous success, as Allah (swt) says: "....Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden, will have indeed attained the object of life [or: been successful]" (Aale-Imran 3:185)

"Allah has promised to believers - men and women - Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein [forever], and beautiful mansions in Gardens of everlasting bliss. But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme felicity [or success]". (At-Tauba 9:72)

"...and those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing underneath, to abide therein [forever] and that will be the supreme achievement".(An-Nisa 4:13)

During this month, we should feel the pain of those in need and increase our virtuous deeds. Thus, Muslims should seize the opportunity during this month to assist their brothers and sisters in the refugee camps and contribute to improving their lives.

Ramadan, the month of giving
Ramadan is the month of giving generously and limitlessly to those who are living less privileged conditions than us. Indeed, an integral part of the month of Ramadan is offering charity to the needy people in our communities and outside of them.

Alongside the acts of rituals that we are supposed to perform during this blessed month, such as fasting, praying, and reading Qur’an, it is incumbent upon every Muslim to help the needy by giving them charity.

Thus, giving charity to the people who are most in need for it is a highly rewarded act of warship, particularly during Ramadan.

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah (SWT) says: “Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allah and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve,” (Surat al-Baqarah 2:262).

harity in Ramadan: A time for increased worship and good deeds
Ramadan is a time for strengthening the spiritual bonds with Allah (SWT). It is also a great time for increasing devout practices which are multiplied in reward.

Most importantly, it is a time of fasting and performing other acts of worship integrated in the pillars of Islam. These acts include:

Giving the shahadah
It means witnessing the Islamic faith enter the religion of Islam. Giving the shahadah entails witnessing that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Muslims give the shahadah multiple times throughout the day during Ramadan.

Performing prayer
During Ramadan, Muslims perform all daily prayers throughout the day. Also, they perform the congregational prayer of taraweeh, which is prayed in sets of 2 rak’ats each. The shortest of the Taraweeh prayer is two rakyat and the longest is 20 rak’ats.

Paying zakat al-Fitr
During this blessed month, Muslims are obliged to pay zakat al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan or after the prayer of Eid. This zakat purifies the wealth that Muslims accumulate throughout a lunar year.

The importance of zakat: How giving charity during Ramadan purifies the soul?
Giving zakat during Ramadan purifies not only purifies wealth but also helps to grow it and bless it, as well as paving the way for more bounties to enter Muslims’ life and gain them many rewards.

In addition, by giving charity to the poor, Muslims can feel the pain inflicted on the poor and the needy as a result of the lack of financial means to get their necessities and basic needs.

Moreover, zakat allows Muslims to help their brothers and sisters in need while reaping the rewards and blessings at the same time.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reportedly said:

“Ramadan is an Honorable and blessed month, and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it,”(al-Tirmidhi).

This saying of the Prophet (PBUH) shows that the values of charity increase enormously during the virtuous season of Ramadan.

Islam is based on the laws of nature. Allah [swt] created our universe and provided Islam as guidance for us to properly and optimally benefit from His creation without getting hurt.

Islam provides us a system of norms and values, a code of conduct, to a healthy, productive and peaceful life in this world and earn the forgiveness, mercy and pleasure of Allah along the way.

In our secular and ‘emancipated’ society, people seem to have difficulty in seeing the significance and relevance of various Islamic norms and values, like chastity and modesty. To this society, Islamic mores seem antiquated and impractical. This is partly due to a lack of understanding of specific Islamic teachings, but mostly it is due to the lack of proper comprehension of the overall objective and the philosophy of Islamic teachings.

We live in a promiscuous society where we need to continually remind ourselves about the pivotal role chastity plays in our daily lives and how at risk we are if we are not diligent in guarding our chastity.

We routinely hear and observe how dangerous it is to drink and drive. Yet, when people are warned about the dangers of drinking, they just laugh it off thinking that they can handle it or that nothing bad can happen to them. One of the ways to get their attention is to show them the mangled bodies and vehicles after fatal accidents.

Across the world, the hijab is a personal religious choice made by women. For many women, wearing the hijab was—and is—an element of piety, but recently it’s been coopted with hatred and sometimes seen as a political symbol.

The hijab is the subject of many conversations worldwide as some leaders have used it as a tool to enforce their own ideologies and beliefs.

Whether it’s the right to wear the hijab or refuse it, the world divides into two different pillars. The neutrality on the freedom of choice is undermined, making the issue of hijab extremely sensitive to speak on.

No one should be treated with disrespect for wearing a hijab or discriminated against on the basis of her religious beliefs. Western societies have laws prohibiting harmful acts that are motivated by hate or bigotry.

Every day, an estimated 800 million ladies/girls/women worldwide are on their period or menses.

Lacking access to menstrual products is defined as period poverty, which can be linked to poor education, missed workdays, urinary tract infections, and depression.

We at #FTVF are working on an app that will be a safe space for adolescent women, most especially secondary school students in Nigeria. The goal is for us to help these students stay in school and succeed. On this app, they can easily reach out to us to address any menstruation related issues.

We are also working on a pool where secondary school girls, most especially those in marginalized communities who can not afford sanitary items, get free pads at that time of the month. Thank you for your donations. We delivered.

A lot of people are doing even extra good deeds consistently, and they’re getting their rewards in Shaa Allah.

It is no news that Health / Medical professionals at every slight opportunity they get urges Nigerians to embrace regular visits to the hospital for health checks, noting that it can help in early diagnosis and treatment of silent killer diseases.<br /><br />Some conditions can be properly and seamlessly treated when the diagnosis is made early.<br /><br />But because Nigerians hardly go for regular health checks, they end up spending more to stay healthy, and where they can't afford they cost of medications, surgery, or procedure, we lose a friend, brother, sister, breadwinner, mother, father, uncle, or aunt.<br /><br />This health screening and meaningful walk started with a medical outreach. The health professionals screened for hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, eye problems, malaria, and dental checks.<br /><br />Our #WalkForHope is not a one-off outreach, we are putting together plans and intend to be doing this regularly. Going to various markets and garages to screen people to let them know their health status and how it can be managed easily.<br /><br />N.B: We currently have our volunteers in thirty-two [32] states in Nigeria. So, we intend to have this outreach in the 6 Geopolitical zones of Nigeria.<br /><br />As we all know that, kidney disease is quite common with those that have diabetes, those that were screened and noticed to have diabetes and hypertension, were referred for a kidney disease scan, and we will follow up until they receivetheir result.<br /><br />If this is a serious case, we would follow up until they see a doctor for people assessment. ‼️New Program Alert‼️<br /><br />Menopause is a natural process, but it causes hormonal and biological changes in the body, which can result in drastic effects on the quality of life of women.<br /><br />Interestingly, menopause is an important part of the life of every woman. The perception and reaction to the symptoms vary from woman to woman and among different tribes and races.<br /><br />The natural process of menopause is highly associated with a set of vasomotor, psychosocial, physical, and sexual symptoms contributed by the hormonal and biological changes in the body.<br /><br />These menopausal symptoms negatively affect the quality of life and the overall health of women.<br /><br />It is no news that a good number of Nigerian women are becoming more aware of menopause and its associated problems through the media, health professionals, and other sources. <br /><br />However, menopause and its related symptoms are highly prevalent in Nigeria rural settings with insufficient empirical data for the same. <br /><br /><br />Our Goals: <br /><br />• We intend to provide medications to support the health of women during menopause<br /><br />• We want women and other individuals experiencing menopause to understand the changes that are happening to them and know what to do next.<br /><br />• Eliminate needless suffering by providing evidence-based information in a way that everyone understands.<br /><br />• Ensure everyone has equal access to appropriate treatment and support. So they have the tools they need to manage the mental and physical changes of perimenopause and menopause.<br /><br />• Replace existing stigma and social taboo with the view that menopause is part of our health journey. And, handled well, it can be the beginning of a positive new chapter in our lives<br /><br />• We are putting a plan in place to train female community leaders to deliver local information sessions and help to set up support groups. Nearly all parents say that their children come first, and they would do everything to provide them with what's needed to enable them a happy and healthy life. But what if someone tells you, you have to be your own top priority? It simply sounds wrong for many. It isn't, because if you as a parent aren't happy, your children won't be either<br /><br />Coping with stress through mindfulness and self-care<br /><br />In the parenting role, we are emotionally touched and challenged more intensely than anywhere else. We are charged with expectations, uncertainty, and perhaps also fears to do something wrong. <br /><br />At the same time, becoming a parent changes everything, our rhythm of life, the flow of time, the time for partnership, and, last but not least, crucially, the time we have for ourselves.<br /><br />Well, well, well, we at #FTVF are appreciative and can't thank you all enough for the shares, tags, and comments on our Children's Day outreach crowdfunding fliers.<br /><br />When we said "2,000" kids in 20 states, we meant every line and alphabet.
