Why we do this?
There is controversy over whether psychological stress contributes to development of peptic ulcer, some other report shows that poverty and malnutrition could be the reason why.
As you may not be aware, peptic ulcers, or stomach ulcers, are breaks or holes in the lining of the stomach. An ulcer in the first part of the intestines is known as a duodenal ulcer. An ulcer in the stomach is known as a gastric ulcer. If you think you may have an ulcer, you should see a gastroenterologist. Gastroenterologists are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of peptic ulcer.
At FTVF, every 14th and 15th of April is our Peptic Ulcer Aid day where we tend to sensitize, hand medications and recommend that some patients see a doctor.
We carry this out in all the states we have our volunteers, and awareness is done through our social media handles and in person in rural areas. This program also comes with the need to hand goods food to beneficiaries.
